rhododendrons line his new jersey driveway
he walks fresh black tar in a blue bathrobe
fuzzy like a towel
eviscerates the mailbox and resumes
beneath the drone of lawns being mowed
the subterranean throb of the nuclear reactors
what they call the taos hum
sound waves lap the surface of the globe
boil over and double back
he has flooded and sunk his personal atlantis
23 years
the judge pauses and a lear jet fills the silence
he pauses and a skateboard fills the silence
marbles on hardwood
he pauses as locusts chew down the trees
and malls expand
staring down the avenue
the clock strikes noon
the clock tower explodes
